THE MAGIC TABLETS

"The Magic Tablet," series. 30in x 22in, white screenprint ink on fluorescent aerosol painted paper. Sculptures measure 11in x 14in x 1.75in, cast polymer clay with hand splattered embellishments then varnished. Originally concepted during the downturn of the economy, Harrington created a collection of tablet-like relief sculptures, which he views as a way of etching optimism in stone, similar to the way one would etch their intials in a tree. He used the tablets to create a collection of brightly colored prints that radiate hope.
